Now, it is widely known that Google's homepage often commemorates important dates, holidays, seasons, and events with a change to their logo at google.com on the day of said events. What did they commemorate today, this 6th day of June, 2009? Why, the 25th anniversary of the advent of the computer game Tetris of course. Disgusting.
There was an interesting segment on CNN on the topic of Obama's Cairo speech. A very balanced discussion, but Frum makes a great point that no one is saying. Check it out.
Obama's speech isn't what everyone thought it was. Islam is the religion we are supposed to tolerate and understand?
Ask these two homosexual Iranians if there was tolerance and understanding for them. These were two gay men who were executed in Iran. For being gay.
Everybody needs to do a little Keith Olbermann bashing once in awhile. Below is an example of the pompous pundit's show on MSNBC. If you're feeling adventurous you can skip ahead to about 3:10 to listen to Garofalo's hate speech and Olbermann say "mmhmm" in agreement like 47 times...

A few days ago, Playboy.com recently featured a column called "Conservative women we'd like to “hate-f**k.” Pretty disgusting, but I guess it's okay because they're conservative. It has since been pulled off the site. Here is Megyn Kelly from Fox News, who was on the list, responding on her morning show:
That's not all. The first writer to criticize the story was fired. Caleb Howe was a writer for AOL.com and was surprised to find that his column had been pulled and was soon informed of his firing.
And for the clincher, Bonnie Erbe a writer for U.S. News (pretty respected publication, right?) Had this to say:
Teri Christoph, whom I have never met, asked me to stand up for conservative women who were maligned by an online article on Playboy magazine’s website. The article has since been taken off the site, but the gist of it was, indeed, disgusting, sexist, of course pornographic, and demeaning to conservative women. The article contained a list of conservative female media commentators whom the author said men would like to, er, have sex with but hate at the same time, or something nonsensical like that. Ms. Christoph sent me a link to a cached page of the now-removed article.
…I also want to note that at least one woman on the list is so venom-spewing, she unfortunately invites venom to be shot back at her: Michelle Malkin. Her posts and her “routine” are so venomous and predictable, in fact, I stopped paying attention to her years ago.
Others on the list, however, are not venom-spewing at all. One woman mentioned on the atlasshrugs2000 blog is a regular guest on my PBS show. Amanda Carpenter, on the show at least, eschews personal judgment of people with whom she disagrees politically. So her inclusion on the Playboy list is much more offensive to me than is the inclusion of Ms. Malkin, although their political views may not differ greatly.
It's pretty disgusting to hear liberals try to justify this. Michelle Malkin, also on the list, had this to say:
Translation: It’s not okay to talk about “hatef**king” conservative women…unless they are rowdy, incivil conservative women who don’t behave nicely enough to be on my obscure PBS show. In which case, they deserve all the vulgar misogynist attacks they get!
Police ridicule Christian mother for kidnapping complaint; others demand money, labor.
LAHORE, Pakistan, June 4 (Compass Direct News) – The Christian mother of a 12-year-old girl in Punjab Province who was kidnapped, coerced into converting to Islam and forcibly married to a 37-year-old Muslim hopes to recover her daughter at a court hearing next week.
The reaction of Pakistani law enforcement authorities to Sajida Masih’s complaint so far – ridiculing her and asserting that there is nothing she can do because her daughter is now a Muslim – does not encourage her hopes of recovering her daughter Huma at next Thursday’s (June 11) hearing.
Masih said that Muhammad Imran abducted Huma at gunpoint on Feb. 23 from Hanif Kot village in Gujranwala district, forcibly converted her and then married her. Imran, father of three children, has since disappeared along with his first wife, children and new child-bride. Another land owner, Karamat Ali Saroyya, called Masih saying that Huma was in Muridke, but Masih and her lawyer were unable to find her there. Saroyya later demanded that Masih work his fields for one year to get her daughter back.
Yes, this is the wonderful religion of Islam that President Obama praised so heartily. Again, this isn't some fringe element. This is mainstream Islam in the Middle East.

So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye feel rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them" -Qur'an 4:34
The Ayatollah Khomeini called marriage to a prepubescent girl "a divine blessing" and advised his people to "Do your best to ensure that your daughters do not see their first blood in your house." The Ayatollah was the first Supreme Leader of Iran from 1979 to 1989. He himself married a ten year old girl when he was 28.
Below are some excerpts from Obama's much anticipated speech to the middle east in Cairo, Egypt.
I am also proud to carry with me the goodwill of the American people, and a greeting of peace from Muslim communities in my country: assalaamu alaykum.
According to Islamic law, a Muslim may only extend this greeting -- Peace be upon you -- to a fellow Muslim. To a non-Muslim he is to say, "Peace be upon those who are rightly guided," i.e., Peace be upon the Muslims. (Source: JihadWatch)
So America will defend itself respectful of the sovereignty of nations and the rule of law. And we will do so in partnership with Muslim communities which are also threatened. The sooner the extremists are isolated and unwelcome in Muslim communities, the sooner we will all be safer.
Why would this ever happen? It didn't happen in the decades preceding September 11th, so why should it happen now?
So let there be no doubt: the situation for the Palestinian people is intolerable. America will not turn our backs on the legitimate Palestinian aspiration for dignity, opportunity, and a state of their own.
But Israel should have to tolerate getting blown up by rockets on a daily basis?
I know there has been controversy about the promotion of democracy in recent years, and much of this controversy is connected to the war in Iraq. So let me be clear: no system of government can or should be imposed upon one nation by any other.
OK, what about Sharia law? Why the complete absence of the topic in this pivotal speech?
Likewise, it is important for Western countries to avoid impeding Muslim citizens from practicing religion as they see fit – for instance, by dictating what clothes a Muslim woman should wear. We cannot disguise hostility towards any religion behind the pretense of liberalism.
What about the women who have been threatened and killed for not wearing what was dictated to them by Islam?
Palestinians must abandon violence. Resistance through violence and killing is wrong and does not succeed. For centuries, black people in America suffered the lash of the whip as slaves and the humiliation of segregation. But it was not violence that won full and equal rights. It was a peaceful and determined insistence upon the ideals at the center of America's founding. This same story can be told by people from South Africa to South Asia; from Eastern Europe to Indonesia. It's a story with a simple truth: that violence is a dead end. It is a sign of neither courage nor power to shoot rockets at sleeping children, or to blow up old women on a bus. That is not how moral authority is claimed; that is how it is surrendered.
As Robert Spencer says, "His comparison of the Palestinians with black Americans is unconscionable. For this comparison to hold true, black Americans must have been launching daily rocket attacks against white civilians, and blowing themselves up at those segregated lunch counters during crowded lunch hours. Remember that?"
Today Obama commented on the French television network Canal Plus:
"... I think that the United States and the West generally, we have to educate ourselves more effectively on Islam. And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslims Americans, we'd be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. And so there's got to be a better dialogue and a better understanding between the two peoples."
First off, Obama is right about one thing: The United States and the West needs to educate itself about Islam. If we they do, they will learn the TRUTH about the religion and what its teachings entail, and we will protect our country and its people from its radical reality.
Obama says we are one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. During his campaign, Barack said that "America is not a Christian nation." But now he feels it is appropriate to refer to the United States as one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. The other side of the coin is that the statement is just inaccurate. Per Wikipedia, the United States is only .8% Muslim, which ranks at 119th of all nations in the world. The United State is home to almost 2,500,000 Muslims, which ranks at 52nd in the world. Barack statement is simply factually inaccurate. How about the president does a little research about the religion of the region he is visiting to try and apologize and appease?
All of this comes after his anger at being referred to by his initials, BHO, (Barack's middle name is Hussein), and after his campaign's extremely successful cover-up of his Muslim father and his Muslim children in Indonesia. Now he is so proud of the suppossed Muslim culture that permeates our country?
No benefit or success will come of this, just further angering many Muslims in the Middle East.
A British citizen was beheaded by Al-Qaeda in Mali. Apparently he had been kidnapped since January. This whole story is infuriating. The British government attempted to NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS in order to get this citizen back. Gone are the days when great countries like America and England would send troops discretely in to rescue hostages. If your spouse was taken hostage what would you want the government to do?
Edwin Dyer was one of four European tourists kidnapped on Jan. 22 as they returned from a music festival.Messages posted on Islamic Web sites indicated that they were being held by Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), a 300-strong Islamist terror group that operates in the desert borderlands of Mali, Algeria, Niger and Mauritania.Despite intense behind-the-scenes negotiations by British and local officials in Mali, the hostage-takers claimed that they had carried out their threat to kill Dyer.Gordon Brown said there was "strong reason" to believe that this was true. "I utterly condemn this appalling and barbaric act of terrorism," the Prime Minister said. "My thoughts are with Edwin Dyer’s family. I offer them the condolences of the whole country."
Gordon Brown's reaction is even more mind-blowing. He "condemns" this act? No kidding! Maybe you should give more thought to keeping your citizens safe, which should be the role of the government. Hey Gordon, maybe if you were spending less money making Britain a welfare state and appeasing Islam, you would have the money and the clout for a rescue operation.

The Goode Family is an ABC animated sitcom from Mike Judge of King of the Hill and Beavis and Butt-head fame. The show premiered on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.
The Goode family is an obsessively "green" family who live an obsessively politically correct lifestyle. The reason their last name is Goode is because they are always trying to do well. For example, they reuse their shopping bags, drive hybrid cars, recycle, etc. They are also vegans. The family lives by the motto "What Would Al Gore Do?", a spin on the Evangelical Christian motto "What Would Jesus Do?".

Abortion doctor George Tiller's death is a travesty and a shame. The Pro-Life movement which was on the rise will take a large hit. Now, in no way do I endorse or approve or his murder whatsoever. Murdering a murderer is not only contradictory to all that the Pro-Life movement stands for, but it also causes the movement to lose credibility and unjustly so.
The mainstream media and pro abortion lobbyists will capitalize on this and already are doing so. Not because they truly feel for Tiller's grieving family, or because of the cold-blooded murder itself, but they want to portray the nonviolent pro-life movement in a blood thirsty and vengeful light. What you won't hear is that fact that Tiller's killer was not affiliated with any pro-life group or movement, and that his wife has reported that he has a history of mental illness.
The mainstream media and far left extremists will paint Tiller in the light of a martyr because of this. Despite the cold-blooded, unjust and hypocritical murder, Tiller was a baby killer. That doesn't change because of his murder. The fact that this is going to be overlooked and people won't know the real truth about Tiller is what concerns me.
Tiller was put on trial for criminal charges of illegal abortions. The law in Kansas says that you are supposed to have a peer physician sign off on late-term abortions, and that the reason must be to keep the woman healthy. This was the loophole Tiller was using, and the "peer physician" that signed off on these abortions actually had a close personal relationship with Tiller and for this he was put on trial. Keep in mind that many of the late term abortions that Tiller performed were on babies that are 21 to 27 weeks old. See below for a visual.

I do not point out this things to endorse the killing of Dr. Tiller. It was an abhorrent act. But people who are watching the news now need to know the truth about Tiller, and not just that he was a martyr for the abortionist cause.
Just as the killing of George Tiller is a hypocritical and unjust act, so is the hypocracy of Barack Obama and the mainstream media. The outrage they have expressed over the killing of Tiller is justifiable and credable. However, their utter silence in the past on the record of Tiller killing babies is NOT. These late-term fetuses are humans. Late-term and partial birth abortions are ILLEGAL in his practicing state of Kansas and in most state with the exception of the previously mentioned mental health clause. This means that in the eyes of the laws these late term fetuses are people. How is the killing of one human any worse than the killing of 5000?
Some good old fashioned racism on Palestinian TV...yet the left and Obama continue to defend the Muslim religion. What you will see in this video IS a mainstream view in the middle east, it is not a fringe element of Islamic society.
