-Keith Olbermann on Governor Mark Sanford

Mark Sanford's cheating on his wife was irresponsible and stupid, not to mention weak. It likely ruined his political career, and he did not practice what he preached as a social conservative, which is unfortunate. He has lost a lot of respect for what he did, and most recognize that. However, Keith Olbermann, one of the most disgusting and disingenuous personas on television today, decided to make fun of the whole situation in a way that makes you want to vomit. Watch.

With apologies to all the liberals that read this, Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity, or Joe Scarborough never acted in such a way when Eliot Spitzer got caught paying for sex or when New Jersey governor Jim McGreevey had an affair with a man he had appointed to a homeland security position.

A reader of the far far left wing blog the Daily Kos had this to say about Olbermann (apologies for the language):

Keith Olbermann, he who likes to give out the worst person in the world award, has just garnered the prize from me for the biggest piece of crap in the world. …

As I listened to him sarcastically reading the e-mails written between Sanford and his mistress, correspondence I sure they both believed would stay private, I kept imagining Olbermann as that pervert in a dirty movie studio choking his chicken underneath his trenchcoat. A couple of times I was certain he was going to ejaculate and his laugh became grotesque bordering on acrid. … Olbermann began his attack on the most vile and disgusting parts of this heartbreaking saga and it went downhill from there. There are four little boys who bear no responsibility for what happened and they have to go to school tomorrow and face their friends. … To see him do things that would brutalize this family and get apparent sexual pleasure out of it might have been one of the most disgusting things I have ever witnessed.

Oh and two can play at this game Mr. Olbermann. Does repeating the below on our site put us on the same level as Olbermann? Probably, but it's too good to pass up:

A brown-haired beauty who claims she had an unsatisfying one-night stand with Keith Olbermann is getting her sweet revenge — she's launched a blog to warn other women about the acerbic MSNBC commentator's boorish bedroom habits.

The bitter babe, who calls herself KarmaBites1, says she doesn't want others "to fall into the same trap … and I want him to feel some remorse for what he's done … He sets his mind on a woman, lures her in, and once he gets what he wants, he refuses to ever speak to them again. And I don't think he understands the damage he's caused."

A 30-something office worker of Caribbean descent, KarmaBites1 said she struck up an e-mail friendship with Olbermann, whom she admired, and agreed to fly to New York to meet him last May. She says he came to her hotel room and opened a bottle of Merlot which he "spilled all over." Then, when "sexual activity began [in] less than an hour," Olbermann had difficulty. "I pretended he knew what he was doing," the embittered blogger writes. "I adored the guy. I didn't want him to think he was a dud in bed," so she faked experiencing ecstasy.

Next, he piled on excuses as to why he had to leave. … Six days later, she claims, Olbermann e-mailed her to tell her never to contact him again.

Here's to hoping you feel better about yourself now, SIR.

-Ahmadinejad Tells Obama Not to Interfere in Iran

ahmadinejad quote pointing obama

From Fox News:

Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called on President Obama on Thursday not to interfere in Iranian affairs after the U.S. president said he was "appalled and outraged" by post-election violence, a news agency reported.

"Mr. Obama made a mistake to say those things ... our question is why he fell into this trap and said things that previously (former U.S. President George W.) Bush used to say," the semi-official Fars News Agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

"Do you want to speak (with Iran) with this tone? If that is your stance then what is left to talk about," said Ahmadinejad. "I hope you avoid interfering in Iran's affairs and express your regret in a way that the Iranian nation is informed of it."

Are you kidding me? He's going to sit there and kill protestors, and expect the (former) leader of the free world not to say anything? Besides what kind of meddling is he doing? It sure seems that Obama is going out of his way to avoid the situation in its entirety, there was no reason for Ahmadinejad to say anything at all.

-A Tale of Two Cheaters: Spitzer vs. Sanford in the Media

Liberal media bias at its finest. It's hard to argue with this one.

From NewsBusters:

In the wake of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford’s admission to having an affair, evening and morning newscasts on NBC, CBS, and ABC all immediately identified him as a Republican. In contrast, in March of last year, the networks rarely identified disgraced New York Governor Eliot Spitzer as a Democrat in the wake of his affair with a prostitute.

In a 2008 study of evening and morning network newscasts following the Spitzer scandal, NewsBusters’ Rich Noyes found that within the first week of news coverage Spitzer was only identified as a Democrat 20% of the time. However, within the first 24 hours of Sanford’s confession to having an affair, he was identified as a Republican 100% of the time, during coverage on all the networks.

On Wednesday, the NBC Nightly News, which failed to give Spitzer’s party affiliation for three days following his scandal, immediately focused on Sanford’s national role in the Republican Party as anchor Brian Williams declared: "In a Republican Party hungry for young stars, he was one of them: Mark Sanford, the governor of South Carolina...Tonight his political career is in tatters. His state, his party are in some turmoil. And Mark Sanford is no longer being mentioned as a possible GOP nominee for the White House."

Video: Warren Buffet says economy in "shambles"

Keep in mind this is the same billionaire who staunchly supported Barack Obama and his policies throughout his campaign. How long will it be until the majority of Obama supporters feel the same voter's remorse? I guess Obama's stimulus package didn't stimulate anything except unemployment numbers and the mounting national debt.

-700 New York City teachers paid full salaries for doing nothing

So this where where all those tax dollars go... the inefficiency of the United States government is beyond any comparisons. Keep in mind that this is the same government that is going to run the auto industry and the health care industry. It's scary that the Unions have more power than virtually anyone outside of Congress.

From Fox News:

NEW YORK — Hundreds of New York City public school teachers accused of offenses ranging from insubordination to sexual misconduct are being paid their full salaries to sit around all day playing Scrabble, surfing the Internet or just staring at the wall, if that's what they want to do. Because their union contract makes it extremely difficult to fire them, the teachers have been banished by the school system to its "rubber rooms" — off-campus office space where they wait months, even years, for their disciplinary hearings. The 700 or so teachers can practice yoga, work on their novels, paint portraits of their colleagues — pretty much anything but school work. They have summer vacation just like their classroom colleagues and enjoy weekends and holidays through the school year. "You just basically sit there for eight hours," said Orlando Ramos, who spent seven months in a rubber room, officially known as a temporary reassignment center, in 2004-05. "I saw several near-fights. `This is my seat.' `I've been sitting here for six months.' That sort of thing." Ramos was an assistant principal in East Harlem when he was accused of lying at a hearing on whether to suspend a student. Ramos denied the allegation but quit before his case was resolved and took a job in California. Because the teachers collect their full salaries of $70,000 or more, the city Department of Education estimates the practice costs the taxpayers $65 million a year. The department blames union rules. "It is extremely difficult to fire a tenured teacher because of the protections afforded to them in their contract," spokeswoman Ann Forte said.

-Obama says Iran's Fourth of July invite still on the table despite its killing of citizens

obama invites iran ahmadinejad fourth of july

From Google News:

The United States said Monday its invitations were still standing for Iranian diplomats to attend July 4 celebrations at US embassies despite the crackdown on opposition supporters. President Barack Obama's administration said earlier this month it would invite Iran to US embassy barbecues for the national holiday for the first time since the two nations severed relations following the 1979 Islamic revolution.

"There's no thought to rescinding the invitations to Iranian diplomats," State Department spokesman Ian Kelly told reporters.

-19 year old protestor in Iran shot and killed; family charged "bullet fee"

From the Wall Street Journal:

Minutes before, an ambulance had arrived from Tehran's morgue carrying the body of their only son, 19-year-old Kaveh Alipour.

On Saturday, amid the most violent clashes between security forces and protesters, Mr. Alipour was shot in the head as he stood at an intersection in downtown Tehran. He was returning from acting class and a week shy of becoming a groom, his family said.

The details of his death remain unclear. He had been alone. Neighbors and relatives think that he got trapped in the crossfire. He wasn't politically active and hadn't taken part in the turmoil that has rocked Iran for over a week, they said.

"He was a very polite, shy young man," said Mohamad, a neighbor who has known him since childhood.

When Mr. Alipour didn't return home that night, his parents began to worry. All day, they had heard gunshots ringing in the distance. His father, Yousef, first called his fiancée and friends. No one had heard from him.

At the crack of dawn, his father began searching at police stations, then hospitals and then the morgue.

Upon learning of his son's death, the elder Mr. Alipour was told the family had to pay an equivalent of $3,000 as a "bullet fee"—a fee for the bullet used by security forces—before taking the body back, relatives said.

Mr. Alipour told officials that his entire possessions wouldn't amount to $3,000, arguing they should waive the fee because he is a veteran of the Iran-Iraq war. According to relatives, morgue officials finally agreed, but demanded that the family do no funeral or burial in Tehran. Kaveh Alipour's body was quietly transported to the city of Rasht, where there is family.
