-"Well, we are out of money now"-Barack Obama

george bush barack obama spending deficit congress conservative review top ten list blog blogger voice today best blogs

Brutal honesty from the American President, and then a little bit of the deceit we have come to know him for.

C-SPAN host Steve Scully broke from a meek Washington press corps with probing questions for the new president in a holiday interview today.

SCULLY: You know the numbers, $1.7 trillion debt, a national deficit of $11 trillion. At what point do we run out of money?

OBAMA: Well,we are out of money now. We are operating in deep deficits, not caused by any decisions we've made on health care so far. This is a consequence of the crisis that we've seen and in fact our failure to make some good decisions on health care over the last several decades.

There is no direct mention as to the fact that this is caused in large part becaue of HIS record spending. More to come.

This is not a joke. Listed below are a few examples of what is going to soon be a part of a curriculum for Kindergartners in the Alameda School District in California.

Keep in mind when reading this that Alameda's lawyers have said that the parents would have "no legal right" to take their kids out of class throughout the teaching of this curriculum."

This is not age appropriate. Can we no longer rely on the family to teach kids anything? We believe The Almighty State has to provide that too? And then there is no choice in the matter, resulting in the ultimate indoctrination. Good luck.

-Highlights of Cheney's Excellent Speech

cheney waterboarding obama conservative blog blogger blogs top ten list
... whatever choices he makes concerning the defense of this country, those choices should not be based on slogans and campaign rhetoric, but on a truthful telling of history.

Our administration always faced its share of criticism, and from some quarters it was always intense. That was especially so in the later years of our term, when the dangers were as serious as ever, but the sense of general alarm after September 11th, 2001 was a fading memory. Part of our responsibility, as we saw it, was not to forget the terrible harm that had been done to America … and not to let 9/11 become the prelude to something much bigger and far worse.

Everyone expected a follow-on attack, and our job was to stop it. We didn’t know what was coming next, but everything we did know in that autumn of 2001 looked bad. This was the world in which al-Qaeda was seeking nuclear technology, and A. Q. Khan was selling nuclear technology on the black market. We had the anthrax attack from an unknown source. We had the training camps of Afghanistan, and dictators like Saddam Hussein with known ties to Mideast terrorists.

These are just a few of the problems we had on our hands. And foremost on our minds was the prospect of the very worst coming to pass – a 9/11 with nuclear weapons.

...since wars cannot be won on the defensive, we moved decisively against the terrorists in their hideouts and sanctuaries, and committed to using every asset to take down their networks. We decided, as well, to confront the regimes that sponsored terrorists, and to go after those who provide sanctuary, funding, and weapons to enemies of the United States. We turned special attention to regimes that had the capacity to build weapons of mass destruction, and might transfer such weapons to terrorists.

...our Administration gave intelligence officers the tools and lawful authority they needed to gain vital information. We didn’t invent that authority. It is drawn from Article Two of the Constitution. And it was given specificity by the Congress after 9/11, in a Joint Resolution authorizing “all necessary and appropriate force” to protect the American people.

Our government prevented attacks and saved lives through the Terrorist Surveillance Program, which let us intercept calls and track contacts between al-Qaeda operatives and persons inside the United States. The program was top secret, and for good reason, until the editors of the New York Times got it and put it on the front page. After 9/11, the Times had spent months publishing the pictures and the stories of everyone killed by al-Qaeda on 9/11. Now here was that same newspaper publishing secrets in a way that could only help al-Qaeda. It impressed the Pulitzer committee, but it damn sure didn’t serve the interests of our country, or the safety of our people.

For reasons the administration has yet to explain, they believe the public has a right to know the method of the questions, but not the content of the answers.

It is a fact that only detainees of the highest intelligence value were ever subjected to enhanced interrogation. You’ve heard endlessly about waterboarding. It happened to three terrorists. One of them was Khalid Sheikh Muhammed – the mastermind of 9/11, who has also boasted about beheading Daniel Pearl.

We had a lot of blind spots after the attacks on our country. We didn’t know about al-Qaeda’s plans, but Khalid Sheikh Muhammed and a few others did know. And with many thousands of innocent lives potentially in the balance, we didn’t think it made sense to let the terrorists answer questions in their own good time, if they answered them at all.

The administration has found that it’s easy to receive applause in Europe for closing Guantanamo. But it’s tricky to come up with an alternative that will serve the interests of justice and America’s national security.

It is much closer to the truth that terrorists hate this country precisely because of the values we profess and seek to live by, not by some alleged failure to do so. Nor are terrorists or those who see them as victims exactly the best judges of America’s moral standards, one way or the other.

Critics of our policies are given to lecturing on the theme of being consistent with American values. But no moral value held dear by the American people obliges public servants ever to sacrifice innocent lives to spare a captured terrorist from unpleasant things. And when an entire population is targeted by a terror network, nothing is more consistent with American values than to stop them.

I believe this information will confirm the value of interrogations – and I am not alone. President Obama’s own Director of National Intelligence, Admiral Blair, has put it this way: “High value information came from interrogations in which those methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the al-Qaeda organization that was attacking this country.” End quote. Admiral Blair put that conclusion in writing, only to see it mysteriously deleted in a later version released by the administration – the missing 26 words that tell an inconvenient truth. But they couldn’t change the words of George Tenet, the CIA Director under Presidents Clinton and Bush, who bluntly said: “I know that this program has saved lives. I know we’ve disrupted plots. I know this program alone is worth more than the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the National Security Agency put together have been able to tell us.” End of quote.

-They "Wanted to Commit Jihad"

American-bred Jihad hits our shores. Of four Muslims planning acts of terrorism in New York City, three were American born and the other was a Haitian immigrant. Their plot included bombing two synagogues and shooting down military planes with Stinger surface to air guided missiles.

This is all part of the holy war against America. Obama thinks that Al Qaeda is at war with America. Wrong. It is more than that, it is the devout followers of the teachings of Mohammad who are waging this "holy" war.

Islam encourages the killing of infidels. These four would have done just that had they not been stopped.

Jihad has been declared, and it has reached our shores.

From Fox News:

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told reporters that the men allegedly "wanted to commit Jihad" and were angry about Muslims being killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan by U.S. military forces.

"If Jews were killed in this attack … that would be all right," one of the men said at a press conference outside one of the targeted Bronx synagogues.

The defendants were charged with conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction within the United States and conspiracy to acquire and use anti-aircraft missiles, the U.S. attorney's office said.

-Iran flaunts its power; Obama continues to ignore it

If we don't consider Iran a legitimate threat to our allies and interests in the Middle East, then we need to open our eyes. Recently Iran let everyone know that in case of aggression on the part of Israel it would only take eleven days for Iran to destroy them:

Then they pull this stunt:

From FoxNews:

U.S. government officials are confirming that Iran launched a missile Wednesday.

One official says it appears the test was a success -- that is, that Tehran succeeded in launching a medium-range missile.

A second official said only that the U.S. was able to detect the launch and was looking further into details. They both spoke on condition of anonymity Wednesday because they were not authorized to speak on the record.

Tehran says it test-fired a new advanced missile with a range of about 1,200 miles, capable of reaching Israel and U.S. Mideast bases.

Islamic groups want Germany to live under Sharia Law, according to the secret service's yearly report released by Interior Minister.

Maybe these governments will finally realize and acknowledge the goal of Islamic Jihad: a one-world Islamic state. But it will be too late before they make a move to stop it.

From Bild.com via JihadWatch:

Increasing numbers of Islamic fundamentalists - mostly second generation immigrants and radical converts - are travelling from Germany to Pakistan to visit terror camps run by al-Qaeda and other similar groups.

German interests at home and abroad are in danger. The report reveals that Germany is an 'immediate target' for Islamist terror groups.

-The media's love affair with Barack Obama

image from patriotpost

Thinking back to the verbal struggles George W. Bush had in his speeches and question and answer sessions, we heard an awful lot about them in the media. By no means was Bush a fantastic speaker. But the media portrayed him as a clown. But Barack Obama makes similar and even more embarrassing mistakes, and we can only hear about them on YouTube or other sources on buried on the

Compare for yourself what your reaction or the reaction of the media would have been had Bush made some of the same statements and mistakes Obama made.

From Politics and Finance:

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Tony Blair a set of inexpensive and useless (to Tony Blair's UK video formatting) DVDs, when Tony Blair had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

-Crying Baby Interrupts Barack's Abortion Rhetoric

During President Obama's commencement speech at Notre Dame, he felt the need to justify his position on abortion. Fair enough.

However, throughout explaining the "logic" behind killing a baby, a child could clearly be heard crying. In the video below you can hear the baby especially well at 1:27 through 1:38.

How dare that baby interrupt the man who believes the child could just as well be dead right now.

-Biden has moved on to revealing national secrets

After encouraging us to stay away from all transportation due to swine flu, telling Sen. Chuck Graham to "stand up and let the people see you" (Chuck was in a wheelchair), an telling the nation that Hillary Clinton would have been a better VP pick, Joe Biden may have finally outdone himself.

Apparently Biden revealed the secret location that Cheney went to during September 11th, according to a report by Newsweek. Biden does realize that's where he would go in case of a national emergency, right? Barack has got to be kicking himself right now.

From Newsweek:

Ever wonder about that secure, undisclosed location where Dick Cheney secreted himself after the 9/11 attacks? Joe Biden reveals the bunker-like room is at the Naval Observatory in Washington, where Cheney lived for eight years and which is now home to Biden. The veep related the story to his head-table dinner mates when he filled in for President Obama at the Gridiron Club earlier this year. He said the young naval officer giving him a tour of the residence showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway lined with shelves filled with communications equipment. The officer explained that when Cheney was in lock down, this was where his most trusted aides were stationed, an image that Biden conveyed in a way that suggested we shouldn’t be surprised that the policies that emerged were off the wall. Cheney has emerged as the leading critic of the Obama administration on national security, saying the president’s policies are making America less safe, and if there’s another attack, it will be Obama’s fault. This is tough stuff, but as the architect of the Bush administration’s policies on war and torture, he has a much bigger legacy to protect than the president he helped steer onto the shoals.
