-Intolerant GWU student organization honored

In early February, George Washington University College Democrats faced accusations that some of its members defaced a pro-life display on campus. A campus affiliate of the pro-life conservative group Young America's Foundation had erected the pro-life display featuring crosses to remember babies killed in abortions.

The College Republican group then found some of the crosses in their offices left by the College Democrats. Here are a few pictures:


Ah yes. Typical liberal tolerance. Is it only liberals who have the opportunity and the right to express their beliefs?

Now comes the good part. Officials at George Washington University have finally taken action in response to the February incident: the school officials named the College Democrats "Most Outstanding Student Organization of the Year." The award "recognizes organizations with exceptional performance in motivating and organizing fellow students to enhance campus life."

Why don't people like Carrie Prejean have the right to speak out in support of traditional marriage? Why don't people who are pro-life have the right to stand on a corner with signs to protest abortion? It seems increasingly so that the only form of free speech that is accepted in this society is that which conforms with liberal ideals.
