-One in every nine Americans is on the food stamp list

Reuters reported today via Drudge that 34 million Americans are on the food stamp list, the highest in its history. Um, Obama is trying to say he pulled us out of this recession? What a joke.

For the first time, more than 34 million Americans received food stamps, which help poor people buy groceries, government figures said on Thursday, a sign of the longest and one of the deepest recessions since the Great Depression

Enrollment surged by 2 percent to reach a record 34.4 million people, or one in nine Americans, in May, the latest month for which figures are available.

As if Americans (liberals) needed any more of a sense of entitlement. Gimme gimme gimme, like a child. As John F. Kennedy said, ask not what your country can do for you- but what can you do for your country. Kennedy, as a pretty fiscally conservative president who successfully cut taxes at a pivotal time, often has that quote get warped by liberals to suit their agenda. Your country and its people are not required to give you anything, and you are NOT entitled to anything either.
