-Barack Obama, our benevolent leader, refuses pensions to World War II veterans

In a strongly worded message to Congress outlining its priorities for a military spending bill, the Obama administration today said it disapproved of including money for pensions for 26 elderly members of the World War II-era Alaska Territorial Guard.

On this 6th day of June, 1944, nearly 12,000 brave young men offered the ultimate sacrifice for their country and their families: their lives.



Now, it is widely known that Google's homepage often commemorates important dates, holidays, seasons, and events with a change to their logo at google.com on the day of said events. What did they commemorate today, this 6th day of June, 2009? Why, the 25th anniversary of the advent of the computer game Tetris of course. Disgusting.
