A musical about Barack Obama's "Yes we can" election campaign premieres in Germany this weekend, including love songs by the president to his wife Michelle and duets with Hillary Clinton.

Even John McCain and Sarah Palin are given stage time, with actors portraying the losing Republican candidates and belting out songs on their behalf.

In all, 30 singers, actors and dancers are to perform in the musical "Hope — the Obama Musical Story" when it opens at the Jahrhunderthalle concert hall in Frankfurt in a bilingual mix of English and German. The audience may recognize that many songs quote from the politicians' stump speeches during the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign.

More slobbering over the wife of the greatest president of all time...

Michelle Obama brings her superstar glamor to Moscow this weekend as she accompanies her husband on his summit with the Russian president.

But the American first lady, who has wowed publics in the U.S. and Europe with her easy elegance and charm, will perhaps face a bigger challenge in winning over a Russian public that has scant respect for women who grab the limelight from their powerful husbands.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's wife Svetlana is pious and discreet and met her husband while she was a schoolgirl. She supports charity and the arts, but has assumed no independent voice on issues facing the country. She dresses conservatively, lacking the edgy fashion sense that has attracted a nationwide following for Michelle Obama.

Michelle Obama's fashion sense attracts comparisons with Jacqueline Kennedy, and there is a Web site entirely dedicated to what she wears.

Here's the problem with this article: everything they say about Michelle Obama has been created by the media. Let's be honest with ourselves here: Michelle Obama just is NOT attractive by conventional standards or any sense of the imagination. As JammieWearingFool said, "I could see if Barack Obama was married to Vanessa Williams or Tyra Banks, but seriously, this drooling over his wife is just sickening."


Yes, this is the most unflattering picture on the internet.

-$540 Shoes???

Yes, the target of fawning idolatry from white males feeling guilty about being white and wanting everyone to be sure they are not racists spent 540 dollars on a pair of shoes. Okay, fine. I get it. Shoes are expensive these days, and people try to look good. The kicker is that Michelle "Ashamed of America" Obama wore these to a D.C. food drive that she was sponsoring. A little common sense would tell you that's not appropriate, or that if you care so much you could buy shoes from Kohl's for 60 bucks and give the other 490 to the people lining up for food.





This can be tied into another soup kitchen shocker with Michelle. In early March Michelle posed for a picture behind the counter:



What is wrong with this picture? This gentleman is in a poor enough financial situation that he needs to get a free meal provided by a soup kitchen, but he has enough money to get a cell phone to take pictures with. You would think that would make ol' Michelle stop and wonder, and maybe it did. We'll never know. But she will continue to aide her husband in redistributing the wealth to people that are not responsible and buy cell phones before food.
