-SADDAM TORTURED BY ALL-NIGHTER

Poor Saddam. Turns out his treatment was pretty rough while in American captivity:

"...The tyrant and his family, who maintained their 24-year reign over Iraq by torturing and executing thousands, complained that his lockup - believed to be at Baghdad International Airport - was an American-made chamber of horrors.

"My opportunity to sleep in this place is limited and almost scarce," Saddam wrote. "I don't think there is anyone with a sensitive and humanitarian heart who can sleep amidst the screams of the tortured and the many blows of the doors and the squeaking sounds of the chairs."

Saddam whined that his "total hours of sleep did not exceed four to five hours." (NY Daily News)

Our military doesn't get half that much sleep out in the field in Iraq or Afghanistan. Did he really expect us to feel sorry for him? Yet there are people out there who will find his released statements "appalling" and will proceed to badmouth Marines and Blackwater and so on. Keep in mind these statements came from a man who systematically killed 50,000 Kurds.

-Iraqi torture house vs. waterboarding

This is a video of a civilian getting waterboarded willingly. No one that has not had it done to them or at least seen it really knows what it is. Too many people have misconceptions about waterboarding and I believe that those misconceptions have a lot to do with the "torture" label. Compare this to what is done to prisoners of Al Qaeda as described even just vaguely in the video below and try to call waterboarding torture.
